Don't forget to check the diary!Restoring Croydon – how we can help? We were all shocked by what was done to our town and we know that it doesn’t really reflect what Croydon is like as a place to live and work. The vast majority of people in the town weren’t involved and lots of us didn’t even know it was happening until we saw it on TV. The immediate need in the aftermath of the riots was for clothes and household goods and we were able to help people make donations, but money is also needed. The Mayor of Croydon has set up a charity appeal for funds to help people affected the recent events. We can make donations through JustGiving at http://www.justgiving.com/croydonsrecovery or by text to 70070 including the code CROY11 and amount (e.g.: "CROY11 £10"). All text messages are free on all networks, and the Mayor’s charity will receive 100% of every donation. Church MeetingThe next Church Meeting will be held on Sunday 25 January 2012 at 11.15 a.m. Please do your best to attend and take your part in the life of the church.
